Creamy Tuna Pasta Bake
- 180g pasta
- 2 cans tuna, drained
- 100g sweetcorn
- 200ml milk
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp butter
- 50g cheddar, grated
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper
- 1
Preheat oven to 200°C. Cook the pasta in well-salted boiling water for 2 min less than the packet says. Drain and set aside.
- 2
In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and stir to form a paste. Cook 1 min.
- 3
Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until the sauce thickens — about 4–5 min. Season with salt and pepper.
- 4
Remove from heat. Stir in the drained tuna, sweetcorn, and half the cheese. Add the pasta and mix well.
- 5
Tip into an ovenproof dish. Scatter the remaining cheese and breadcrumbs over the top.
- 6
Bake 20–25 min until golden and bubbling on top. Leave to stand 3–5 min before serving.
